Five Years

Kalmus is talking about the goal of keeping global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. We’re at 1.2C now and getting walloped with what seems like daily disasters. The latest: Flooding has cut off the port of Vancouver B.C., with repairs expected to take months.

Given the COP26 fiasco and the gap between rhetoric and reality, climate activists need to turn up the volume.

Still, there are different ways to be loud. You never know what’s going to resonate with someone; a variety of approaches is good.
